On Earth Day the Vermont House of Representatives passed House Bill 446, the Vermont Energy Act of 2009. The bill includes changes to Vermont's Sustainably Priced Energy Enterprise Development Program (SPEED) that would implement a pilot feed-in tariff policy.

Arvada, Colorado April 20th, 2009: SkyFuel, Inc. is pleased to announce that Gary Jorgensen, a Senior Scientist with the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), has joined SkyFuel as a "Scientist in Residence" under a Collaborative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the national lab. Jorgensen will work at the Company's research and development center in Arvada, Colorado. This arrangement re-enforces and expands the long-standing collaboration between the Optical Materials Group at NREL and ReflecTech, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of SkyFuel.

Solar Technologies, headquartered in Santa Cruz, California with an office in Silicon Valley, is now an authorized dealer for SunPower products. This addition provides a new dimension to their previous offering, which included Mitsubishi and Sanyo PV panels as well as SMA and Solectria inverters.

Solar Technologies was selected to be presented the Green Business Award by the mayor of Santa Cruz. The city mayor, Cynthia Mathews, personally handed certificates to representatives of six outstanding local businesses who completed the Green Business program. Solar Technologies is the first solar company to be certified in the program for Santa Cruz County. The presentation at City Hall was aired on channel 25 local community television.

While testifying before the House Energy and Commerce Committee last week, Former Vice President Al Gore endorsed the Green Bank Proposal, a measure introduced by Congressman Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) that would create a government-owned financial institution to provide support to qualified clean energy and energy efficiency projects.

Following the conclusion of the successful three-day production and operational testing period, Abengoa Solar has started commercial operation of the new PS20 solar power tower plant located at the Solucar Platform, near Seville, Spain. Over the course of the testing period, PS20 surpassed the predicted power output.
